Christopher Andrew Ray

Christopher Andrew Ray, 41, passed into the arms of his Heavenly Father on February 8th, 2016. He was born to Oliver Michael Ray and Teresa Ann Ray on November 19, 1974, in Phoenix, Arizona. To family and friends, he was affectionately known as Andy. His smile was genuine, his heart was pure, and his soul touched you in a way only he could. Family was the most important

thing to Andy. He cherished the gatherings and looked forward to every day he would spend time with his Dad, Mom, and brother Charlie. Andy was our teacher and true example of how our lives should be lived. He taught us unconditional love, kindness, patience, caring, charity, compassion, appreciation and friendship. God called Andy home way too soon, but he has left his mark on all of those who knew and loved him. We will never forget the lessons learned from this gracious and warm-hearted man…our Angel on Earth. Andy attended Arcadia High School and graduated from Chaparral High School. Basketball, skiing, golf, WWE, watching his brother’s dog, Paisley and playing video games were his favorite pastimes. Andy is survived by his parents, Oliver Michael Ray and Teresa Ann Ray, brother, Charles Michael Ray, his uncle and aunts, Blair & Emily Akey, Mary Lynn Akey, Kathy

Schlink and Paula Akey Tilghman along with numerous first and second cousins and special friends, Karen Martin & Peter

Bernal. A Celebration of Andy’s Life will be held at the Franciscan Renewal Center, 5802 E. Lincoln Drive, Paradise Valley at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, February 25, 2016. In lieu of flowers, please honor Andy Ray by a donation either to: Family Catechesis Special Needs in care of Franciscan Renewal Center, 5802 E.
