Irene Romero Raybould was born in Hayden, AZ in 1933 and joined the Lord on June 30th, 2018. She is survived by her three daughters Yolanda, Arlene and Yvonne. Her eleven grandchildren include Irene, Feliciano, Paul, Sirena, Alina, Cristina, Fernando, Anthony, Steban, Berlinda and Dena. She is also survived by her nineteen great grandchildren Alexavier, Zenaida, David, Julian, Dominique, Anavey, Adalina, Maria, Paul Jr, Annabelle, Lillyanna, Andrew, Sage, Kamui, Elysia, Arianna, Elijah, Adrian and Jason Jr. She is also survived by two sisters Carmen S. and Carol R. She is preceded by her six brothers Ramon, Felizardo, Armando, Arturo, Jose, Ignacio and her sister Margaret and her son Alfred M. Irene was very active throughout her life. She was a Blue Bird and a Girl Scout leader for many years and was very politically active. She was a professional singer and loved music. Irene was active with the Holy Family Parish when she lived in Phoenix. In her later years she volunteered as a teacher for English as a Second Language and citizenship classes with the Immaculate Conception Catholic Parish in Cottonwood. Her students loved her. She always stood up for the underdog. Irene retired from working retail from I.Magnin and later enjoyed working at Walmart in Cottonwood. A Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. with a Rosary prayer at 7:00 P.M., Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road in Phoenix. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M., Friday, July 6, 2018 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1954 N. 24th Street in Phoenix. Burial will follow services at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery at 48th Street and Oak in Phoenix. Irene will be missed by all and may she rest in peace with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
