Regina "Reg" Brewer-Sandoval

March 26, 1968 — December 5, 2023

Scottsdale

Regina “Reg” Brewer-Sandoval went home to Jesus surrounded by her husband, family, and lifelong friend on December 5, 2023, at the age 55 due to a tragic and unforeseen brain aneurysm.

Regina was born to John Sandoval and Linda Pierce on March 26,1968 in Scottsdale, AZ.  From a young age Regina was a caring and spiritual person, she loved everyone hard and was a shining example of a real-life angel on earth.  In her teen years and early 20s she was heavily involved in Job’s Daughters and even received one of the highest honors of the organization as Honored Queen of Bethel 7 Scottsdale in both 1988 and 1989.

After graduating from Coronado High School in 1986, she attended Ohlone College in Fremont, and eventually went on to be a Medical Staff Coordinator at Honor Health in Scottsdale for over 20 years, where she was loved and received high praise from all her colleagues. Regina suffered from a few illnesses in her life including Hodgkins Lymphoma in her 20s and then Breast Cancer in her 50s, and both times she fought strong and beat it.

At the age of 31, Regina and ex-husband Jose adopted their only daughter Sarah who she loved deeply and often remarked that the day she was born was one of the best days of her life.

In 2008 Regina met the love of her life Kent, they went on to get married in 2010 and spent 13 wonderful years together till death tragically took her away. After her mother became sick and eventually passed away, she took in her brother Steve and cared for his medical and mental health needs.

In 2015 Regina received the upgrade from mom to nana with the arrival of her granddaughter Luna, with whom was the light of her life and she often referred to her as ‘Moonbeam’.

Regina was a selfless person who’d help anyone in need, and often put others before herself. She contributed her kindness and ability to spread love to being a part of a large loving family, often saying “that’s just what we do”. Regina had many friends and accepted everyone, she never judged and always had an optimistic outlook no matter the situation. She took on many responsibilities and cared for so many people in her life and never complained or looked for anything in return.

Regina had an ability to connect with anyone and everyone who met Regina was touched by her faith and kindness. Regina was a strong beautiful woman who many friends and family will miss, the walking example of being beautiful on the inside and out. She is survived by her husband Kent, daughter Sarah, granddaughter Luna, and her siblings Steve, David, Irene, Lucy, Johnny, and Debbie.

Regina’s funeral service will be on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at St. Theresa Catholic Church at 5045 E Thomas Road in Phoenix with the rosary at 9:30am and Mass at 10am.

Following will be the burial ceremony at St. Francis Cemetery with a reception at the Masonic hall at 12. Anyone who wishes to attend is more than welcome. Regina loved large gatherings.
