Herbert “Herb” Curt Reimann, 76, of Scottsdale, AZ passed away on February 21, 2011, after a courageous battle with esophageal cancer. He was born September 1, 1934 in Philadelphia, PA. Herb graduated from Lower Moreland High School, Huntingdon Valley, PA in 1952 and from Gettysburg College, Gettysburg, PA in 1956. At Gettysburg, he played soccer, and he was a member of the ROTC and the Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity. Upon college graduation, Herb moved to Colorado Springs where he served as a First Lieutenant at the Air Force Academy until 1958. In 1959, he moved to Phoenix, AZ and began his long career as a commercial insurance agent and broker. Herb is preceded in death by his parents, Walter Richard and Hildagard Bachmann Reimann and his son, Dwight David Reimann. He is survived by his children, Kimberlee Reimann Padilla (Amador Padilla, Jr.) of Paradise Valley, Curt Daniel Reimann (Heather Reimann) of Tucson, Michael Kavanaugh Reimann (Jessica Reimann) of Scottsdale, and Regina Hilda Fluckiger (Kellan Fluckiger) of Gilbert; and his grandchildren Melanie Reimann Clark (David Clark), Morgan Reimann, Matthew Reimann, Kole Fluckiger, Kal-El Fluckiger, Kyla Fluckiger and Karter Fluckiger. In addition Herb is survived by his brother Walter Albert Reimann (Jean Reimann) of Malvern, PA and his two nieces, Heidi Reimann McKenna (Peter McKenna) of Wayne, PA and Heather Reimann of Chesterbrook, PA. Over the years Herb belonged to many civic and social organizations, including The Rotary Club of Glendale, Paradise Valley Country Club, White Mountain Country Club, and Valley Presbyterian Church. His many passions included golf, fly-fishing, making custom golf clubs and fly-rods, tying flies, wood working, making custom toys for his children and grandchildren, gardening, cooking and fixing anything that needed to be fixed.
