Robert (Bob) Eugene Madore, age 77, passed away peacefully in his sleep on the morning of Friday, December 27, 2024. Born in Flint Michigan in 1947, he lived in various states including California, Washington and ultimately resided in the city of Maricopa, Arizona for the last eight years. He was the 1st of eight children of Francis (Gene) and Lucille (Erma) Madore and is survived by his mother, his three sons, Paul, Dean, and Robert Madore (all three having earned a college degree, for which Bob was instrumental in achieving these goals and was immensely proud), and his two grandchildren, Olivia and Xander Madore. Bob was preceded in death by his father Gene in 2019.
Bob was drafted into the Army in 1966 and honorably served during the Vietnam war as a Dust-Off pilot evacuating over 1500 wounded from the battlefield. For his heroic efforts, he was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, Bronze Star, Purple Heart, Air medal with “V” for Valor, and the Army Commendation Medal, among many others. Bob eventually retired from the Army as Captain.
After his honorary discharge from the military, Bob practiced many different occupations that included real estate, tax preparation, and others but his joy for computers and software programming kept him in that space for nearly his entire career. He worked as a programmer for Rockwell International in the late 80’s and early 90’s but after retiring from there, became self-employed and started a computer services company to provide advisory and consulting services to many companies throughout California.
Bob came from a very large, loving and devoted family that often gathered for events to spend time with one another. This was a way of life and greatly bonded the family together. Bob always looked forward to family time.
