Luanne Jean Roessler

Roessler, Luanne Jean, passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2018, in Phoenix, Arizona. Luanne was born in Lafayette, Indiana on August 26, 1932. She was a daughter of Frances Loges Schuessler and Verne Schuessler, who preceded her in death along with her husband of 43 years, Randall J. Roessler. She is survived by her 3 children, Dave (Susie), Pat (Cindi), Holly (David Busch), 13 grandchildren who brought so much joy to her life, and her brother Jerry Schuessler. Luanne moved to Phoenix and attended St. Francis grammar school, St. Mary’s High School (class of 1950), and Phoenix College (class of 1952) where she sang in the choir. Luanne was a stewardess for TWA, secretary of St. Thomas the Apostle School and worked in bookkeeping at Allied Signal. Luanne and Randy were members of the 50/50 dance club which Luanne’s parents helped create in the early 50’s. She was an avid bridge player which kept her very busy spending time with her wonderful friends. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend to all who knew her. She will be missed dearly and loved forever. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 9th, from 5:30 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. with a Rosary Vigil service at 7:00 P.M. at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road in Phoenix. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 10th, at 10:30 A.M. at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 2312 E. Campbell Avenue, Phoenix.
