Najla Suleiman Saigh (Um Khalil) fell asleep in the Lord peacefully, surrounded by her children and their families.
Najla was born in Jordan and migrated to the United States at the age of nine. Her and her husband, Suleiman Raphael Saigh were founding members of Virgin Mary Orthodox Church in Yonkers, New York; and an active member of St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church in Phoenix, Arizona for over forty years. She was predeceased by her husband of forty-three years Suleiman and her parents Freih and Hanna Sayegh, brothers Joseph, Sharif, George and sister Fadiya. She was a devoted mother to Khalil (Jennifer), Rumsey, Buthaina (Robert), Jennifer (John), Hanna (Issam). She is survived by eight grandchildren, her brother Abraham, her sisters Fatha, May, Esther, and Samia. Najla loved her nieces and nephews and was a blessing to everyone who crossed her path. She was a faithful woman who cherished God, family, and church.
Psalm 116:
Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for the Lord hath dealt bountifully with thee. For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling. I will walk before the Lord in the land of the living… I will take the cup of salvation and call upon the name of the Lord. I will pay my vows unto the Lord now in the presence of all his people. Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.
