Fermin Peru Salcido, 88, passed away peacefully at his home on September 27, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 3, 1934, in Morenci, Arizona. He was married to his beloved wife, Frances Salcido, 59 years. Fermin was retired from the City of Phoenix, as a Water Customer Service Representative, after 30 years of service. He is preceded by his father, Francisco Salcido; mother, Luisa Salas; brother, Dionisio Salcido; son, Fermin Salas; grandsons, Eric and Nathan Gonzales; uncle, Lawrence Salcido. He is survived by his loving wife, Frances; daughters and son-in-laws, Evelyn & Oscar Valenzuela, Luisa & Richard Gonzales; Grandchildren, Fermin (Becca) Salas, Bri (Nick) Niro, Jacob Gonzales; Great grandchildren, Blake, Xander & Reese Edwards, Jude Niro; Sister, Rosie Peña; along with many nieces and nephews. Fermin was known for his love of history and colorful storytelling. His love for sports included Notre Dame Football, Boxing, Nascar, and Golf. He loved Big Band music and Jazz, and he was a fan of Classic movies. His style was always exquisite and he loved dressing to the nines. He was always protective of his family and he made sure that his daughters always had everything they needed. Fermin was the rock of his family and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
