Virginia M. Sanchez

Virginia M. (Cahill) Sanchez, 95, of Phoenix, Arizona passed away peacefully on January 9, 2014 at her daughter’s home in Tucson. Born and raised in Phoenix, she was the fifth of seven children born to Santiago L. Cahill and Ramona Gonzales. She was a graduate of Phoenix Union High School, and received her cosmetology license in 1937. She retired in 1996. She married Joe A. Sanchez (deceased) of Superior, Arizona in 1949. She loved to cook, sew, garden, read and, in her later years, enjoyed listening to digital books. Virginia was predeceased by siblings Barney, Ruth, James, Esther (Blanco), and Ernestine (Limón); and children Mary Margaret (Mansfield) and Joseph.  She is survived by sister Ramona Hildebrand; children Susan Martinez and Richard; 8 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews. A Rosary will be held at  1:00 p.m. with a Funeral Mass at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, January 31
