Marian Sanderson

Marian Bennetts Sanderson passed away on November 2.  She was born on April 30, 1923 in Detroit, Michigan and relocated to Phoenix with her family in 1960.  Marian was a wonderful wife and mother of four children.  She led an active life, volunteering for many years on the St. Joseph’s Hospital Women’s Auxiliary.  She served as vice-president as well as two terms as president.  She later spent 20 years as a medical secretary for a cardiology practice.  She is preceded in death by her husband, David W. Sanderson and by her son, David W. Sanderson, Jr.  She is survived by her three daughters; Susan (Don) Alvarado, Marianne (Gary) Benjamin and Vicki (Oren) Davis as well as ten grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.  Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00am with a Rosary before the Funeral Service at 11:00am, Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix. A Graveside Service will follow at 12:15pm at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, 2033 N. 48
