Sandra Claire Dalgleish “Sandy”, 85, of Scottsdale, Arizona passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2024.
Sandy was born on February 26, 1939 to Maurice and Loretta Leahy in St. Paul, Minnesota. The family moved to Arizona in the early 1950’s. After graduating Saint Mary’s high school in Phoenix, Arizona she went on to study X-ray technology. Sandy then had a long career in the medical field and spent a majority of her time working in her adopted hometown of Scottsdale.
In the late 1950’s Sandy met Robert Dalgleish in Phoenix, Arizona. They were married in 1959 and went on to have 3 children; Daren, Danielle, and Damon.
Sandy was an avid runner and was very involved with her daughter Danielle’s track and field endeavors. Sandy was also an ardent photographer and many of her photographs adorn the walls of her Scottsdale home where she lived for the last 53 years.
Sandy is survived by 2 sons, Daren and Damon, and 5 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert and daughter Danielle.
Sandy will always be remembered for her caring way and ability to look for the bright side of any situation with her common phrase ‘everything happens for a reason’.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024 from 1:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M., at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix, please feel free to stop by and celebrate her wonderful life and share a story or a memory.
