Helen M Schilling

After a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease, Helen Schilling passed away peacefully on December 15, 2011. It was her strong faith that enabled her to face this illness with such a positive outlook and she was an inspiration to us all. She was born May 28, 1924 in Merrillville, Indiana and married to her husband, John, almost 53 years until his passing in 1995. Helen and John moved to Phoenix, AZ in 1960 with their three daughters, Judy (Schilling) Harris, Shirley (Schilling) Field, and Mary Jayne Schilling. She has three grandchildren. Helen was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed tennis and bowling. Burial is at Holy Cross Cemetery in Avondale, AZ. In lieu of flowers the family requests donation be made to Hospice of Arizona, 19820 North 7th Avenue, #130, Phoenix, AZ 85027.
