Jeffrey William Schreiber

Jeff Schreiber, 65, of Phoenix, AZ, passed away on September 7, 2023. He was born in Chicago, IL in 1958.

Jeff loved the holidays, often putting up lavish decorations for all the big holidays, with Halloween being his favorite. He loved 70’s music, with a special affection for the band Rush, attending dozens of their concerts over the years. He was fascinated with Chicago history and had a photographic memory of places and events. He often recalled fond childhood memories visiting the former amusement park Riverview. He even nicknamed some of his cars for the rides at Riverview,

Jeff loved good food and enjoyed dining out often, with equal emphasis on top rated restaurants and dives. He was addicted to HGTV programs and got some great design ideas from watching those programs. Jeff loved to travel to lands far and near, having visited a couple of dozen countries around the globe, with some favorites places being Mexico City, Munich, Hanoi, Cesky Krumlov and of course Sedona.

Jeff was pre-deceased by his father William Schreiber and is survived by his husband Louis Chittenden, mother Jean Schreiber, sisters Faith Peters (Dino), Holly Peters (Jeff), Tracy Schreiber, Jill Poremba (Dave) and nieces Lauren, Mallori, Nell Gwyn and great niece Ava.

Per Jeff’s wishes, no services will be held but the family will gather in Chicago at a later date to honor Jeff’s memory.
