Donald Edward Schwinghamer

89, of Paradise Valley passed away in his home on April 11, 2012 of vascular dementia. Born October 13, 1922 in Humboldt, Sask. Canada. Member of the Royal Canadian Air Force, business owner/operator, strong catholic beliefs, extraordinary husband, father and grandfather; loved by all. Survived by his spouse, Rita Schwinghamer of Paradise Valley, sister Elaine Schulte (Lawrence) of Canada, brother-in -law Leo Hering of Canada, 4 grandsons (David, Scott, RJ & Steven) all of the Phoenix area, 3 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his parents (Roman and Helen nee Kluhe), 3 brothers (Dennis, Bernie and Billy) and son (Brian).

Visitation will be Sunday, April 15th, 2012 from 4 – 6pm at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E Indian School Road, Phoenix, AZ 85018. Funeral Mass will be at 10am, Monday, April 16th, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 11001 N. 40th Street, Phoenix, AZ 85028. Interment at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery.
