Rose Marie Seeger (Rosno) surrounded by her loving family, passed into eternal life on February 5, 2018. Rosie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was born in Genoa, Nebraska on March 31, 1936 and raised in San Jose, California. Rose Marie touched the life of everyone she met. Rose Marie is survived by her husband of 62 years, Lawrence, her 5 children, and their spouses, Kenneth (Debbie), Michelle (Brendan), David (Shelly), Doug (Kellye) and Michael (Ashley). Rosie is also survived by her 16 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and her sister-in-law, Sue Rosno. Each and every grandchild loved their Tutu more than anything. Rosie was predeceased by her father and mother, Michael and Rose Rosno, and her brother Gordon. While raising her 5 children, Rosie was an avid volunteer at school and church and loved spending time with the many friends she made as she and Larry moved around California, Hawaii and Arizona. After raising her 5 children, Rosie indulged in her passion for traveling the world. She especially loved visiting her family and friends in Hawaii and her daughter Michelle and her family in Europe. Rosie was happiest with a good book, sitting on the beach–she loved her book club. An artist, she enjoyed painting and loved sharing art with her grandchildren. A devout Catholic, she worked with the Christ Child Society, Sodality, and joined Larry volunteering at St. Vincent DePaul. Rose Marie is loved by many and will be deeply missed. Her joy of life, love for her family and friends, easy-going free spirit, and clever observations were very special to all who knew her! Services will be held at Brophy Chapel on Saturday, February 10th at 1:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, Rosie has been a major supporter of St. Vincent DePaul and Save the Children, the organization her granddaughter MacKenzie works for that provides aid to refugee children all over the world. Please consider making a donation in her name. Arrangements entrusted to Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home.
