Danny T. Seivert

Danny T. Seivert, 88, of Phoenix, AZ passed away on February 1, 2021.

Danny was born to Agnus and Frank J. Seivert on July 24, 1932 in Phoenix. Danny was a simple man, a go-getter and did anything to make a dollar. He shined shoes and worked as the bathroom attendant for tips at the Adams Hotel as a kid, then took the money home to his mom. He never passed up an opportunity to make a buck. He slept on the porch so his sister, Mary Agnus could have her own room or there was someone who needed a room. His energy and compassion for everyone grew as he did.

Danny graduated from St. Mary’s grade school, and Saint Mary’s High School in 1950. Danny lettered in 3 sports at Saint Mary’s High School all for years. His football talent earned him the title of Outstanding athlete and he was inducted into the Hall of Fame at Saint Mary’s High School.

Danny went to Loyola University in CA on a football scholarship, but the program shut down after his freshman year. He transferred to ASU and worked out with the team for a year and then began playing the following year. Danny played football for ASU under coach Coleman and continued his support for ASU through the Sun Devil Club and the Sun Angle Club. He had season tickets and never missed a game till the last few years. We spent many many years as kids up at Camp Tonazona with the teams and the Sun Devil Club. After ASU he married the love of his life, Joan H. Lindsey. Danny enlisted in the Air Force and served 3 and a half years. Danny started in the insurance business and soon after started his own agency, Danny T. Seivert Insurance. He spent years building his business, tending to his children, supporting Saint Mary’s Football, Brophy Football and ASU football.

Danny was a family man and a brilliant businessman, and he and his brother George did many business ventures together. Quite the team. Danny ran a successful insurance, investments, and real estate business in Arizona which kept him busy and happy. He worked with many wonderful people to make things happen.

Danny’s children were his treasures. He was featured as the Father of the year once for Montgomery Wards with a picture of him and all his kids. He never missed a game, meet or awards ceremony for his kids. He always said his wife, Joan, was the best around. Danny instilled lifelong lessons to his children that are unforgettable. He treasured Joan and they were quite the team.

They are together again and Eternally happy. Danny and Joan raised 6 children in Phoenix, James-Dec. (Theresa), Michael A. Seivert (Cydney), Sharon Seivert, Rosemary Seivert, Cynthia Bishop (Scott (Dec.), John C. Seivert (Roxanna), Robert (Dec.) and nine grandchildren, Austin and Taylor Seivert, Danielle Wagner, (Joe), Steven Childers, Alec (Jessica) Seivert and Jessica Seivert, Michael and Danny Bishop, and Jessica Seivert Vest and one great-grandchild, Everley.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Agnes and Frank Seivert, and his siblings, Mary Agnes McPeak, Joseph Seivert, and George Seivert.

Donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Institute and St. Mary’s High School in Danny’s name.

Due to COVID masks are required. A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at 9:00 A.M. with a rosary at 9:30 A.M. and the Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 4715 N. Central Ave., Phoenix. Private burial.
