82, passed away on March 11, 2017, from complications with Alzheimer’s. She was born in Beleview, KY to Eileen and Luke Lindsey. The family moved to Phoenix when Joan was 10 years old. Joan attended St. Francis Elementary School and Xavier High School and graduated in 1952. Joan met the love of her life, Danny T. Seivert, in the 8
th
grade and eventually married on January 23, 1954. Danny and Joan had seven children, lost one just after birth, and raised six children. Danny and Joan traveled a lot with Danny’s Insurance business. Joan was a loyal and loving wife to her husband and a great mother to her children, never missing a school function, game or meet, or any special occasion. After most of her children were in college and high school, Joan decided to pursue her dream in nursing. She graduated at the age of 46 with her LPN degree. Joan is preceded in death by her sons, James Seivert (Theresa) and Robert Seivert, mother and father, Eileen and Luke Lindsey, Tommy Lindsey (Peggy), Kenny Lindsey (Georgia) and son-in-law Scott Bishop (Cindy). Joan is survived by her wonderful and longtime husband, Danny T. Seivert, children Michael Seivert DO (Cydney), Sharon Seivert, Rosemary Seivert, Cindy Bishop and John Seivert DPT (Roxanna), daughter-in-law Theresa Seivert, siblings Ralph Lindsey (Cheryl) and Patsy Marini (Dale). She will also be missed by her grandchildren, Austin Seivert, Taylor Seivert, Danielle Childers, Steven Childers, Michael Bishop, Danny Bishop, Alec Seivert, Jessica Seivert, Jessica Vest and Leisha Everette, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m., with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, March 16, 2017 at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, in Phoenix. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 17, 2017 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 4715 N. Central Avenue, in Phoenix. Burial will be private.
