William B. Shelby

Here rests a handsome and amazing soul. Mr. William B. Shelby, 65 was born in Dayton Ohio on September 30, 1956 and transitioned in Phoenix, AZ on October 26, 2021. He was the son of the late Lucille Oliver Shelby and Thomas William “T.W.” Shelby. He leaves a brother, Thomas Oliver Shelby, 3 daughters, Lashelle Leonard, Starr Shelby, and Kyra Je’nae Shelby, fiance’ Jackie Doleman and a host of family and friends.

William Shelby was loved and cherished by everyone who he had crossed paths with in life. William was known for his legendary producing and song writing of hit records that filled you up with just as much amusement, love laughter, inspiration and heart warmth as he did. In loving prayer and memory of William Shelby we prepare this day as the day he sets sail on his final voyage.

I can’t change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination.

Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, October 31, 2021 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix.  For those who are unable to attend please reach out to Kyra or Star for live streaming details.
