Alma T. Sitter

87, of Phoenix, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2014. She was born in Erie, PA on January 17, 1927, the 2

nd

child of Joseph and Delphine (a member of the Seneca Indian Tribe). Alma married Albert J. Sitter on August 12, 1948, a union that lasted 60 years. They moved from Pennsylvania to Arizona in 1963.

After being a full time homemaker for 14 years, Alma completed an Associate’s Degree while working as a draftsperson for Honeywell in the Valley and retired in 1985. In retirement, she and her husband vacationed in Hawaii several times a year.

Alma is survived by 4 children: Diane McKechnie, Tere Lange, Frank Sitter and Joe Sitter; 3 grandchildren: Weston, Falisa and Molly; and 3 great grandchildren: Jaden, Rogan and Aria.

A celebration of Alma’s life will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix with visitation at 2:00pm and a funeral service at 3:00pm.
