Carol Ann Smith

Carol Ann Smith, 61, of Scottsdale, AZ, passed away peacefully with family by her side on June 1, 2023, after a battle with cancer. Carol was born September 6, 1961, to parents Richard and Bernadine Smith. Carol was a wonderful Daughter, Sister, Aunt and friend and will be dearly missed by all who were privileged to know her. Carol was a wonderful person with a great spirit and one of the most caring people anyone could ever meet. Carol loved spending time with family and friends. She loved to play Bingo and card games. She loved to travel, go on cruises, and spend time with all her nieces and nephews. She worked as a Manager for AJ’s Fine Foods for many years.

In addition to her Mother Bernadine Smith, she is survived by her siblings Dianne Rick (George), Richard Smith (Doris), Sharon Parbs (David), Linda Coonrad (Rick), Daniel Smith and 12 nieces and nephews: Matthew Rick (Holly), Robert Smith, Heather Rick, Michael Parbs (Heather), Tiffany Parbs, Bruce Rick (Zuhal), Jonathan Coonrad (Brittany), Ryan Coonrad (Marcelle), Eric Coonrad (Nicole), Ashley Scott (Austin), Anthony Smith (Mackenzie), and Joshua Parbs. She also has 18 great nieces and nephews. Carol was preceded in death by her father Richard and Sister-in-Law Kimberly Smith.

A visitation will be held at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 East Indian School Road, Phoenix, on Thursday, June 22nd from 5-7 p.m. The funeral Mass will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 23rd at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 5045 East Thomas Road, Phoenix, AZ. Interment will follow at St. Francis Cemetery.
