Michael Deon Smith

Michael Deon Smith, age 42, passed away on November 27, 2009, in Phoenix, AZ. He was born on August 1, 1967 in Nashville, TN; son of James Jackson & Jacqueline Reed. He is survived by both parents, wife Marisa Smith, four children: Tamara 15, Kaleigh 9, Miguel 4, & Mariah 2; sister Destinie, brothers James, Jason, Jermaine, & Robert, five uncles, and five aunts. He went to be with our Lord after 15 months of a strong battle with cancer. He will long be remembered for his kind heart, laughter, generosity, and love. He loved spending time with his family and friends, watching football, riding motorcycles, and DJ’ing. He was the type of person everyone wanted to know and we are all better people because of him. He always stood up for what was right. He was a fighter until the very end. His faith in God and love for his family kept him going everyday. He will be forever loved & missed and never forgotten. A Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 pm, Friday, December 4, 2009 at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road. Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am, Saturday, December 5, at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, 1401 E. Jefferson Street, Phoenix.
