Sonya B. Hernandez

Sonya B. Hernandez, 61 years old of Phoenix, Arizona, peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving family on September 10, 2024. Sonya was born on October 11, 1962 in Tempe, Arizona, to her parents Ricardo Hernandez and Maria Bermüdez. She was a proud native of Arizona, and was blessed to live so close to her loving family her entire life. Sonya worked as a court clerk for the City of Phoenix for many years, and meanwhile bravely overcame many obstacles with her health. Her strength and light will forever be remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.

Sonya is preceded in death by and reunited in Heaven with her parents Ricardo and Maria Hernandez, and beloved daughter Deanna Triano. She is survived by her brother Jimmy Hernandez (Patricia), sister Jo Hernandez, granddaughters Narcisse and Mariabella Triano, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 from 10:00 - 11:00 A.M., with a Funeral Service to follow at 11:00 A.M., at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Rd., in Phoenix. At a later date Sonya will be laid to rest alongside her daughter Deanna at Green Acres Cemetery in Scottsdale.
