Helen Courtin Stark

Helen Courtin Stark passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 24, 2015 at her home in Phoenix. She was 93. Helen was a teacher, a skill that came in handy raising her 9 children with Dr. Robert Stark, her husband of 47 years. Dr. Stark passed away in 1993. All children, Robert, Michael, Christopher, Catherine, Patrick, Brian, Lisa, Karen and Marya survive along with 26 grand and great grandchildren. Helen was an avid reader, a sports enthusiast and loved discussing politics and current events. She enjoyed frequent visits from her children who live in other parts of the country. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Brophy Chapel, 4701 N. Central Avenue, Phoenix on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. Arrangements entrusted to Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home. Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to Hospice of the Valley, St. Vincent de Paul or any charity of your choosing.
