80, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2014 after bravely losing a 2 year struggle to pancreatic cancer. Born on November 7, 1934 to Robert and Frances Connor in Omaha, Nebraska, she spent her early childhood years living in Pocatello, Idaho. Her family moved back to Omaha where she attended Cathedral High School and was then employed at the Union Pacific headquarters. She then met her future husband, Bob, a 2
nd
year student at Creighton University School of Medicine and they were married the next year on July 17, 1954. Over the next ten years they lived in Omaha, Duluth and St. Paul, Minnesota, and Germany while Bob was completing his training and military service. Five sons joined the family during this time. In 1964 a final move was made to Phoenix. Peggy’s interests were many and varied. Her love of reading led to her becoming active for many years in the VNSA and its annual February book sale. She enjoyed gardening and flowers which led to the building of an orchid room in their home. Her interest in meeting new people prompted her to enter into a home business with the Shaklee Corporation. Tennis and then golf became her favorite physical pastimes, golf continuing up until her recent illness. Her greatest pleasures, however, were being a loving, caring wife and mother and friend to so many who loved her. In spite of her illness and physical injuries she suffered during her final years, she never gave up or lost her warm smile. May she rest in peace. She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers James and Terry, and sister Patricia. Surviving are her husband Robert, sons Thomas (Betty), William (Rita), Michael (Jo), David (Julie) and Patrick (Rosa), grandchildren Amy, John, Lily, Julia, and Rocio, brother Dennis and sister Coleen Harwood. A Rosary will be held on Monday, November 24, 2014 at 6:30 P.M., at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Rd., Phoenix, AZ. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 4:00 P.M., on Tuesday, November 25, 2014, at Brophy Chapel, 4701 N. Central Ave. Phoenix, AZ. Donations may be given to her favorite charity Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
