Passed peacefully in his home surrounded by family, friends, laughter, and music on the evening of November 5, 2016. He had just celebrated his 90

th

birthday. Don taught high school science for 35 years in Illinois before retiring to Phoenix with his wife, Mary (deceased), the love of his wife. Don loved teaching science at Carl Haydon High School, and was a proud member of the Original Tremble Clefs Choir. He is survived by his daughter Patricia Stone, and his beloved granddaughters Rebecca and Jennifer Hughes. He was our rock and our joy and his generosity, compassion, and dry Irish sense of humor will remain in our hearts forever. A reception to celebrate his life will be held at the home of his longtime friends Kathy Hansen and Ramon Delgadillo on Saturday, November 19
