Todd David Stroesenreuther passed away unexpectedly on May 20, 2023, in Waddell, Arizona. Todd fell from a boulder while out hiking with friends. Todd is survived by his mother JoAnne Panasuik, of Mount Pocono, Pennsylvania, his brother Leo, his sister Amy and his two children from previous marriages, Nicholas, and Sophia. Todd is survived by aunts and uncles, Dorthy and Bill, Jim and Betty, Anita and Al, and Frank. Todd is also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Sharon and his father.
Todd was born on February 28, 1966, in East Paterson, New Jersey. He attended Mount Olive High School in Mount Olive, New Jersey. Todd worked in many different fields and was always a great worker who could be relied on. Todd relocated to Arizona over 10 years ago and it became his home state. His current job at Banner Health was his favorite. He loved the work, but he loved his coworkers more. He worked in the operating rooms as a technician and told me on multiple occasions that it was the best job he ever had. I enjoyed hearing him tell me he reached the 10-year mark at work.
Todd had a passion for sports, and he has been a fan of the Oakland Raiders football team, Los Angeles Dodgers, and New York Islanders. Growing up Todd played sports including football, baseball, and basketball, and he often talked about sports. I still recall seeing him in the driveway shooting the basketball with a hat and winter jacket in sub-freezing temperatures. If Todd was not playing sports, he had a passion for watching and cheering on his favorite teams. With every breath, Todd’s passions were his daughter Sophia’s sports, coworkers and friends, and hiking. Todd also went out of his way to help and support his friends and family. His other passion was fitness and hiking. He loved the outdoors and thrived on the hiking trails of Arizona. Todd was a faithful son, brother, father, and friend. He will be missed by all and remember he was doing what he loved to do. No one knows when their last day is on the calendar. Until we meet again on the hiking trail, we will continue to miss your smile, companionship, and friendship.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at Whitney and Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85018 at 11:00 AM.
