Mary Helen Stroud, at the age of 92 years, passed away peacefully March 17, 2018 in Phoenix, Arizona after a short illness. She was an accomplished mother and traveler with an adventurous spirit. She loved the outdoors and particularly favored travel, trout fishing, and camping on scenic rivers and streams. She shared many trips around the world with her family and friends and cherished annual Christmas family gathering at her home. Mary was born in Sikeston, Missouri, April 15, 1926. The daughter of Ross and Mildred Trousdale and is survived by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Joseph W. and Frances Peace of Phoenix, Robert F. Stroud Jr. of Phoenix, Rebecca and Jim Garner of Rosenberg, Oregon, Patricia and John Maynard of Page, Arizona. Joseph, Sara, Brendan and Casey Peace of Columbus, Ohio, Robert, Heather and Sydney Maynard of Mesa, Arizona, Elizabeth Maynard and Jay Erickson of Mesa, Arizona. She was preceded in death by her husband’s Joseph W. Peace and Robert F. Stroud Sr. and siblings Frank, Genevieve and Clara. A Memorial service will be held in Phoenix at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home on Friday, April 27, 2018 at 9:30 A.M.
