Susan Whiteside, 77, of Laveen, Arizona, passed away on July 29, 2024. Born on June 15, 1947, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Ann and Ross Aiello, Susan lived a life full of love, dedication, and strength. She was a graduate of Maple Heights High School in Maple Heights, Ohio before moving to California. Her first job was at Union Commerce Bank in downtown Cleveland where she met friends that lasted a lifetime of love. In California she was a buyer for Six Flags Magic Mountain. She eventually moved in with her daughter, Joliene Castaldi, from Laveen, Arizona. She was spoiled, pampered and immersed in love by Joliene, her grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Now that is what we call The Golden Years.
Susan loved to laugh, and she was an avid fan of American Idol and Elvis Presley. Back in the day one of her favorite tv shows was “Murder She Wrote” which was the beginning of her path to all detective shows.
Susan is survived by her loving daughter Joliene and her devoted son Scott. She was preceded in death by her beloved son Jimmy. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: granddaughters Skye and Raegan, and grandsons Michael, Beau, Stryker, and Ranger. Susan’s joy was further enriched by her great-grandchildren Ethan, Coby, Harmony, and Jeremiah.
Susan is also survived by her dear sisters Debby, Toni Ann, and Darlene, and her brothers Frank and Michael, who remember her as a compassionate and steadfast sister.
