Teresa “Teddy” M. Whitaker, the greatest lady that ever graced this earth.
She was born on February 25, 1937, in Phoenix, AZ where she was raised. She passed away peacefully with her family by her side on September 18, 2024.
Teddy was preceded in death by five generations of Arizonans, which includes her parents Alfred & Alice (Maldonado) Culling, brother Daniel Culling, grandson Ryan Whitaker.
She leaves her husband of 69 years, William “Ted” Whitaker, and brother Enselmo “Butch” Culling. Her legacy continues with her three children Susan Singh (Gary), Alan Whitaker (Ellie), Lisa Harding (Mike); 8 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren, 18 great-great grandchildren, numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and an abundance of extended family and friends.
Teddy was a teacher, talented painter, crafter, and a great cook whom all wanted to learn from.
She and Ted retired to Camp Verde and built their dream home and enjoyed the last 35 years.
They experienced many adventures together with their family, Camp Verde family and friends.
The celebration of her life will begin at 8:30 a.m. with a visitation to 9:45 a.m., and Mass celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 27, 2024 at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 5045 E. Thomas Road in Phoenix. Burial to follow at 2:00 p.m. at East Resthaven Park Cemetery, 4310 E. Southern Avenue, Phoenix.
