Santina Thiel

Santina Thiel passed away peacefully June 27, 2019 in Phoenix, Arizona at the age of 91. She was born September 7, 1927, in Chicago IL to Vincent and Anna Marie Fauci.

Santina was married to her neighborhood sweetheart, Edward Thiel for 47 years. They had three sons and two daughters Edmund, Ronald, Mark, Janet and LuAnne.

In 1974 the whole family excluding Edmund moved to Phoenix to be close to family and soak up the sun. Santina worked as an office manager for her brother Jim until her retirement in 1995.

Santina was preceded in death by her parents (Vincent and Anna Marie), husband (Edward), brothers (Dominick, Counie, Johnny and Angelo), sisters (Lucille and Anna), and son (Edmund). Santina is survived by two sons, Ronald and his wife Angela, Mark, and two daughters Janet, LuAnne and her husband Jimmy; brother Jim; sister Mary; fifteen grandchildren, Daniel, Adam, Paul, Sparkle, Jason, Christina, Michael, Donald, Santina, Anthony, Melissa, Daniel, Christopher, Shawn and Ryan; and nineteen great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Sunday, July 7, 2019 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. with a Rosary at 7:00 P.M. at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Rd, Phoenix.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, July 8, 2019 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 5045 E. Thomas Rd, Phoenix. Interment will follow at 12:30 P.M. at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd, Phoenix.
