Barbara Suver Thrush, 86, passed away from natural causes at her home in Scottsdale Arizona. She had lived in Arizona since her retirement in 1994. A native of Columbus, Ohio, Barbara retired after 34 years at the Telhio Credit Union. She was an avid football fan and she cared so much for her “Buckeyes” The Ohio State football team.
Barbara’s faith in the saving power of her Lord, Jesus Christ, sustained her during life’s ups and downs with strength & grace. She lived her life reflecting God’s love to those around her. Her smile and infectious laugh will be remembered by all who knew her. She missed her son, and only child, each day following his untimely death at age 42, but remained especially close to her daughter-in-law.
She was preceded in death by her son, Clint W. Thrush, her father J. Cecil Suver, her mother Geneva Tharp Suver, and her sisters Anita Ogden and Janice Rogers. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Candace (Ebner) Thrush, and by her niece Sally Strayer, and nephews, Donald Rogers II, Daniel Ogden, and David Ogden.
At her request, there will not be a service. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Leukemia Society (https://www.lls.org/) or the Alzheimer’s Association (https://www.alz.org/). Condolences may be expressed at www.whitneymurphyfuneralhome.com.
