Carol Anne Titsworth, daughter of the late Mike and Doris Miller, was born July 23, 1942, in Portland, Oregon. She attended Laurelhurst and Washington High School in Portland and graduated from Lewis & Clark College, Portland in 1963 with a BS degree in Medical Technology. She did an Internship at Tripler Army Hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii.
She married Jay R. Titsworth on December 28, 1963, at Lake Grove Presbyterian Church in Lake Oswego, Oregon.
She worked as a “bench” tech and supervisor for Providence Hospital and Oregon Health Sciences University, in Portland; and, Forbes Regional Medical Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She was President of the Pennsylvania and Oregon Societies of Clinical Laboratory Science and a member of Alpha Mu Tau honorary fraternity of the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science.
Carol is survived by Jay, sons: Gregory of Milwaukie, Oregon and Christopher (April) of Taylorsville, North Carolina; grandchildren: Jay II, Stacie, Tyler, and Savannah of Portland, Oregon, Morgan in the U.S. Army; and sister: Mary Lee (Ted) of Phoenix; and brother: Jeff of Portland, Oregon.
Carol enjoyed calligraphy, quilting, lawn bowling, Mah Jongg and reading. The family will continue the memory of Carol when her cremains will be spread at Sea in Venice, Italy. Memorial donations may be made to Alpha My Tau Fraternity, Treasurer Scott Ailey, 521 Macklin Drive, Cherry Hill, New Jersey.
