Jean B. Twist, 91, of Phoenix, devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to all she met, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2016. She lived a life of unconditional love. She was preceded in death and in new life by her beloved husband, J. G. “Bud” Twist. She will be buried alongside him at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Phoenix.
Jean was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on March 30, 1925. Her life was a testament to her love for Christ, her country, and her family. She sent out smiles to all she met, made lasting friends easily, and served as a witness to the love and sacrifice of Jesus every day. Her earnest desire was that all would come to know the Lord. She gloried in bringing communion to shut-ins, which she did for many years. She taught Bible studies in all the many places she lived. She loved sharing good times with all.
Services will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 4930 E. Greenway Rd., Scottsdale, AZ 85254. A reception and celebration of her life will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations are welcomed to Resurrection Lutheran Church in her name.
