Tyler Drosendahl, 32, was born in Phoenix, AZ on March 22, 1991. He lived most of his life in Phoenix, with a short detour to Iowa.
Tyler is survived by his family: Ann (mother); Joe (father) and Diane (step-mother), Colin (brother); Emilee (sister-in-law); Quinn (nephew) and Maggie (niece).
Tyler’s deep love for music led him to form two bands. He served as lead guitarist and singer for both No Refills and City Hall Complex. In 2019, Phoenix New Times selected No Refills as one of the best 10 Phoenix area bands to watch. No Refills frequently traveled to gigs throughout Arizona and Los Angeles, as well as a number of tours, most notably the Pacific Northwest in 2020.
The truths of Tyler’s life are his creativity and his love for his family, his friends, cats, the desert, rocks, space, stars, and cooking. Tyler’s warmth and caring drew people to him. Tyler used the darkness, the pain inside of him to reach out to the light in others. His kindness will live on in our hearts and minds.
May angels lead you in…
Donations can be made in Tyler’s name to the Arizona Humane Society.
