Alfred Ulibarri (Al) was born March 7, 1920, in El Paso, Texas, and at the age of two the family moved to Los Angeles, California.
He was a veteran of WWII, having served in the pacific with the U.S. coast Guard. He was transferred to Phoenix, Arizona, in 1958, and worked as a manufactures representative with his own agency until his retirement.
He is survived by Carmen, his wife of 71 years, who was his best friend and love of his life. He is also survived by his daughter Anita (Steve) Wilson, grandchildren Jennifer (Martin) Wilson-Rosales, and Steven (Elise) Wilson, great-grandchildren, Emma and Gage Rosales, and Chase, Paige and Adrienne Wilson, and his sister Ida Porchia Oakes.
His family was his number one priority. He was a man of honor, well respected, and lived by the creed of honesty, kindness and love. He was a gentle man, a man truly loved. We will all miss him.
His family is indebted to his caregivers Angel, Elice and Daniel, and the entire team at Grace Hospice. In lieu of flowers, if a charitable contribution is preferred, please consider St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, or Grace Hospice in Tempe, Arizona.
