Elodia G. Urias

We are saddened by the passing of our mother and grandmother, Elodia G. Urias, born on February 18, 1922 in Nogales, Sonora, Mexico and passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2013.  Elodia was the youngest of 10 children and was preceded in death by her son, Joe.  Elodia is survived by her son Bobby (Mary) Urias, daughter, Christina (Robert) Alvarado, daughter in law Carmen Urias and her brother, Rosario Gutierrez.  Also cherishing their Nana’s memory are 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.  Her unforgettable wit and charm will be missed by all; favorite nieces, nephews and long time friends.

Visitation will be held from 6-9pm, Thursday, December 12, 2013 at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix. Funeral Mass will be at 10am, Friday, December 13, 2013 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 909 E. Washington, Phoenix.  Interment will follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery.
