Victoria J. Lopez

Victoria Lopez, age 65, of Phoenix, AZ, passed away on June 18th, 2024. She was born on February 20th, 1959, in Phoenix, AZ, to Antonio and Cruz Jurado.

Victoria grew up in Phoenix and would eventually meet her high school sweetheart and beloved husband of 43 years, George A. Lopez Jr. at East High School, but not before spraining his ankle in an effort to teach him some manners. Together, they raised a loving family and built a life centered around love, joy, and togetherness. Victoria dedicated much of her career as an office manager in the medical field, where her leadership skills and compassionate nature made a lasting impact.

Victoria cherished her family above all else and found great joy in scrapbooking, journaling, and collecting pictures of her loved ones. Her deepest love was reserved for her nine grandchildren, whom she adored with all her heart. Victoria's lively and outspoken personality endeared her to all who knew her. She will be remembered for her warmth, humor, and unwavering love for her family and friends.

Victoria is preceded in death by her husband, George A. Lopez Jr.; her parents, Antonio and Cruz Jurado; her sisters, Juanita Rodriguez, Virginia Jurado, and Lydia Jurado-Claussen; her brother, Fred Jurado.

She is survived by her children: Sonya (Jose Salazar), George III, Adrian (Valeria), and Manuel (Steven Gallet); her siblings: Katy Mendoza, Gloria Abril, and Antonio Jurado; and her cherished grandchildren: Rosalinda, Sabrina, Selena, George IV, Marcellus, Jonathan, Adrian Jr., Alec, and Joseph.

Memorial services will be held as follows:

● Visitation: Tuesday, June 25, 2024, from 4:00-7:00 P.M., with a Rosary at 6:00 P.M., at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Rd., Phoenix, AZ 85018.

● Funeral Mass: Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at 10:30 A.M., at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 2312 E. Campbell Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85016.

● Burial will follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, 2033 N. 48th St., Phoenix, AZ 85008.

Victoria Lopez will be dearly missed and forever remembered by her family, friends, and all who knew her. May she rest in peace.
