Walton Henry Wood Sr.

Walton Henry Wood Sr. "Walt" was born on December 24, 1939 in Phoenix Arizona to William Olin Wood and Jean Opal Gray and passed away peacefully October 7, 2024 in Mesa Arizona. He attended Washington Grade School and Glendale High School. He worked in the construction industry from the age of 15 until he retired at the age of 70. He is survived by sister Oleta Mae Journell/Askerman, son William Edward Wood, daughter’s Brenda Stradling (Lynn), Pamela de Leon, Cynthia Hall and Debbie Howell, 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Sandy and daughter Peggy Denise Vallejo and son Walton Wood Jr.(Buddy).

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 9:00am at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home located at 4800 E. Indian School Rd. Phoenix 85018.
