Dorothy Wheeler

92, a resident of Phoenix since 1955 passed away on May 27, 2011. She was born in Poneto, Indiana on June 29, 1918 to Hugh and Minnie Rowe. Dorothy was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Tim Wheeler; sisters Helen Goss of Shreveport, Louisiana; Martha Huffman of Bluffton, Indiana; Ruth Rowe of Phoenix, AZ and a brother Bobby Rowe of Bluffton, Indiana. Dorothy is survived by niece Jackie Smith and husband Bill of Decatur, Indiana; nephew Tom Huffman and wife Jo Ann of Fort Wayne, Indiana; nephew Tim Huffman and wife Shelly of Bluffton, Indiana and nephew Warren Goss and wife Juanita of Kingwood, Texas. 11 great nieces and nephews and 13 great-great nieces and nephews also survive her. She will be missed by all. Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2011 at 10:00 A.M., at the National Memorial Cemetery of AZ, 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd., Phoenix, AZ. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Valley, Brighton Gardens Unit, 6001 E. Thomas Rd., Scottsdale, AZ 85251. The family would especially like to thank the nurses and doctors at Hospice of the Valley, Brighton Gardens Unit, Margaret and Reyn Dubois, Rosemary and Pete Lytle, Nancy and Herb Fogarty, Marty Greenwold, Lee Ferguson, Stan, Maria and Ivona Grochowsky and others for their devoted friendship.
