William Mitchell Wilson

On Monday November 8, 2021, William Mitchel Wilson, beloved husband, father and brother entered eternal life at the age of 75.

William, Bill Wilson was born in Baldwin NY on February 24, 1946 to Gertrude and John Jacob Wilson. He attended Baldwin Senior High and went on to receive his Bachelor of Science in Engineering at Fort Schuyler SUNY Maritime College. Upon graduation, he joined the United States Air Force where began his honorable and dedicated career as a pilot, the profession he truly loved. Bill travelled the world with his wife Darlene Linda and son Austin, retiring from service as a Lieutenant Colonel with many honors and awards.

Bill had a passion for hiking, bird watching and photography which he combined into photographic works of art. His treasured joy was flying.

He was a caring husband, dedicated father, adored son and beloved brother. Bill was preceded in death by his pop, William Reis, whom he was named after, mother, Gertrude, father John Jacob, brother John and now united with his cherished son Austin. He is survived by his wife Darlene Linda, brother David and sister Gigi.

Visitation will be held at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E Indian School Rd, Phoenix, AZ , on Monday, December 13, 2021 from 4 pm to 7pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 4715 N. Central Ave. Phoenix on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at 10 am, burial to follow at St Francis Cemetery, 2033 N 48th St, Phoenix, AZ.
