Claire Youmans

Claire Youmans, was born to Henry Layton McComb and Edna Lucille Thompson, December 9, 1924 in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Claire passed away peacefully into the arms of the Lord, on December 10, 2015,

surrounded in love by many family members. In 1944 during WWII, Claire married US Navy Lieutenant John C. Youmans, then left for the United States where they lived in Minnesota, before moving to Phoenix, AZ in 1952. Claire and John were happily married for 58 years until John passed away in 2002. Claire leaves behind their five children, Gregory (Stacia) Youmans, Jill (Michael) Anderson, Judith Youmans, Scott (Connie) Youmans, and Lani (James) Fregosi, along with seven grandchildren, Andrea, Christopher, Ian, Heather, Eric, Paul and Natalie, and five great grandchildren, Mack, Hannah, Reese, Ryder and Sloan. Claire is also survived by her identical twin Mintie (John) Montefiore, cousins, nieces and nephews and extended family in Australia as well as here in the U.S. Claire loved her family, music, singing & dancing. The most common thing said about Claire by so many was “I just love her!” We have been truly blessed. Services are pending until spring.
