Meta (Medy) Klara Becker Zannis

Frauline Meta (Medy) Klara Becker Zannis, born in Frankfurt, Germany on September 22nd, 1928 ended her journey January 31, 2012. This beautiful WWII War bride married her husband John M. Zannis (deceased) just after the war and arrived in Phoenix, Arizona in 1947. Medy was a wonderful Mother and is survived by her 4 children, Michael, Joanne (David Kengott), Victor (Doreen) and Mark (Susan). She is also survived by her sole-mate Rupert Loza Sr. She was a loving Grandmother “Oma” to 6 + 6 Brian, April, Cindy (Tyreece Strawder), Andre’, Lianna, Camryn, Jason, Andy, Emalee, Tylar, Trey, Kayla and a Great-Grandmother to Cassidy, all who loved her very much. Medy’s German heritage ran strong and deep and she loved her friends and good times at The German Corner. Playing tennis until she was 72, her tennis buddies were her passion. Oma, thanks for all your love!!! We will miss you forever! Visitation will be from 1-1:30pm, Saturday, February 4th, 2012 with a Celebration at 1:30pm at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix.
