Tony Zuo

1950-2023

Mr. Zuo Anning “Tony” passed away surrounded by close family members on May 31, 2023, at the age of 73.

Born in Beijing, Tony grew up in a family of 5 surrounded by sisters. He attended the prestigious High School Affiliated to Renmin University of China and went on to serve in the 44th division of the Wuhan Air Force. Later, he graduated from the Beijing University of Technology, and worked at the Beijing branch of Melchers for 8 years. Tony’s innate curiosity and passion for traveling took him around the world until he finally set roots in sunny Arizona. He was a Renaissance man whose talents included fishing, skating, swimming, and even ballroom dancing. He knew his way around a car as well as he did a violin, and he dazzled not only with his ping pong skills, but also with his charm, humor, and vast knowledge and wisdom. Tony was known for his unrelenting generosity and he always extended a helping hand to those in need.

He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and community. He is survived by his wife, Liang Yu, and daughter DanDan.

A visitation, memorial, and reception will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2023, from 2PM – 7PM at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix, AZ 85018.
